I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break! We spent some time with family (it's my birthday just after Christmas, so we usually spend about a week together over Christmas and it was my lovely Mum's birthday yesterday - Happy birthday, Mum!) and I sewed up a lot of dresses for something secret that's happening at the end of the month! I can't wait to share that with you, but in the meantime, here are some pictures of the kid's Christmas presents!
I wasn't really happy with the way the silver top stitching came out... it looks like a mistake, rather than a design feature! I'll probably redo that in black when Miss 7 is back at school. I do love the ombre blue though! It turned out very nicely.
I'll start by saying yes, Mr 3 is wearing transformer shorts with a dinosaur top. He does actually have shorts in the dinosaur print that's on the pocket and sleeves of his shirt, but he wouldn't change. I even tried chocolate! I loved this shark shirt, though the fabric turned out to be cotton poplin, rather than quilting cotton, which has a very different feel - my fault for not checking the bolt when I bought the fabric, it was in the quilting cotton section and I assumed! It's still a great shirt, just has a slightly different feel to his other shirts.
Hope you all have a great holiday!
